I guess I've been feeling blue lately with summer coming to a close... It's starting to reflect on my outfits!:) 

In all seriousness however, I really love layering blue hues. Blue is such a calming color and never feels overloaded, no matter how many shades.

This outfit was perfect for a cool evening in August!

I chose to layer these two necklaces--they're becoming my go-to's! I've worn them nearly everyday for the past week!

I chose to wear my Ray-Ban aviators with my hair in a top-knot. This hairstyle has been on repeat during this hot summer.

I got these shoes forever-ago but never wear them. I'm just now realizing how much I love them!

Simple Grey

Lately I've been into neutral looks. I like making my outfits simple and clean looking but still staying true to my style. I love this lace detail top from Nordstrom Rack. I can just tuck it into my favorite pair of jeans and I'm good to go. I think summer is the perfect time to simplify your look but still look put together. Hope you enjoy!

It's kinda crazy how your style can change day to day, right? Yesterday I went for an edgier look while today's look is more classic! That's what I love about style--you can mix n' match, experiment, whatever you like.

 Andie and I headed downtown again for some photos. We found this gorgeous wall detail and both loved it!

 I love how light this outfit is. In this hot August weather, it's important that I can stay cool without having to sacrifice fashion.

 Lately I've been using my Longchamp as a pool & beach bag, so it hasn't been of much function as a purse. I cleaned it out today however and I love it with this look.

All in all, this outfit just feels right to me. It highlights one of my strongest fashion points: simplicity.

Even though I love wearing color sometimes I reach for all black. I love this top that I purchased from Nordstrom. The lace detail and sheer paneling adds to the design of the top. I've barely worn jeans this summer because its been extremly hot but the weather decided to cool down so I threw on my ripped Joe's Jeans. I wanted to add a pop with my leopard print sandals from J.crew. Hope you enjoy!

Andie and I headed downtown for this hot (but pretty!) day! Though I'm glad it isn't raining (throwback to every single day during the beginning of summer), I wish it'd cool down a bit. 

 I grabbed these sunnies on a whim at a fun shop in downtown Durham, North Carolina, and I'm so glad I did! They add a fun touch to this otherwise-simple outfit.

I decided to keep my outfit simple and practical as to correspond to the heat. This black chiffon top is yet another one of my most recent T.J. Maxx finds. It's so versatile and I look forward to styling it for every season!

 I wore my high-waisted denim shorts to give the look a fun edge. I have been wearing these shorts non-stop this summer—they're so easy to pair with anything.

I grabbed my Mini-MAC and was ready to go! I am obsessed with this bag... I may purchase another color sometime soon!

I stacked these two gold necklaces and it may just be my new favorite pairing.

Andie: Closet Inspiration

Today's post is all about the closets. I've been looking through endless pictures of amazing closets on Pinterest to get some ideas for my own closet. This usually ends with me feeling terrible about the way my closet looks and being envious of the lucky people who have giant spectaculor closets...oh well you get what you get and you don't throw a fit right?
