Emma: Striped Spring Shorts

It feels like it's been forever since I've blogged!

That's probably because it has been forever since I've blogged.

Third quarter was a crazy mess of homework, illness, a trip to Germany (stay tuned for a post with photos!) and more. But now it's springtime, and I'm ready to relax. I'm also ready to not be freezing cold every time I leave the house (thanks, Kansas).

I am in loooooove with these new shorts. They're chic, classic, and so comfy. I'm of course obsessed with stripes, so these are perfect!

I honestly feel like I'd be lost in the fashion world without this jacket. It has been my go-to ever since I purchased it and I couldn't be happier! I love to accent it with this fabric flower pin from J.Crew. It gives the simple jacket extra flair!

These shorts are even more gorgeous up-close. As for jewelry, I wore my simple Tiffany ring that hardly ever leaves my hand.

Emma: Blue and White

This post may mark the end of cold-weather for awhile! Though I love my fall/winter wardrobe, I am beyond excited to be transitioning my closet.

I decided to layer blue on blue today. This color is so universal and each shade coordinates with another, making it so easy to experiment with different tones and textures.

I may have to say goodbye to this bag until next fall! I absolutely love its versatility, but I'm looking forward to carrying a lighter, brighter tote this spring and summer.

This leopard print calf hair belt is my favorite. Leopard print can sometimes be distracting, but in this outfit, it provides the perfect amount of subtle detail.

As always, these flats are my go-to shoes. They go with absolutely everything... everything.

Andie: Painted Dress

I can't even express how excited I am for spring. Around this time I start to pull out all my spring dresses and buy new ones. I bought this one at Nordstrom Rack a couple weeks ago and I'm in love. I'm trying to incorporate more patterns and colors into my wardrobe because I've noticed that I wear a lot of netural colors. I love this pattern because it's very unique and reminds me of an abstract painting. 

I recieved this pair of sandals from Etsy as a Christmas gift this year. I love how simple and comfortable they are. Check out the shop on Etsy  HERE!

Andie: Bold Print

As the weather starts to warm up I like to transition more spring clothing into my outfits. This black printed top is a perfect pattern that can be worn in the winter and spring. I bought this top awhile back from Jcrew so you can no longer buy it but Jcrew has some new spring tops that I really like! 

I really like to wear simple jewelry when I wear bold prints. I love this turquoise bracelet that I bought in St Thomas this winter. Every time I wear it I'm reminded of how many amazing memories were made on that trip. 

These white jeans from Nordstrom Rack have been my favs recently and they're under $30!!!(Find Here) When I look to buy jeans I always want to make sure they are as comfortable as possible. Some of my favorite brands are: Joe's Jeans, Paige Denim, and Zara jeans.

Emma: Black, Blue, and Burgundy

With a black top and blue jeans, you can never go wrong. Add an embellished clutch, and it's even better. 

Lately, one of my favorite things to do is to coordinate my shoes and my bag. Luckily, these pointed-toe flats go perfectly with my outfit on its own, and when I add the bag, the colors are completely in sync.

I snagged this purse at TJ Maxx for only $20! I don't have many clutches, and this burgundy one is totally my style. It has an attachable cross-body strap as well, making it more practical for going out. At the bottom of this post, I'll link embellished clutches that I really like!

As usual, I love these shoes. They can be classic in a casual outfit, and chic in a formal outfit. Also, they make my legs look longer, as opposed to round-toe flats which sometimes make my legs look shorter!

Emma: Sights of Spring

Spring is just around the corner, and it's getting nicer out every day! I took advantage of the weather and wore a skirt; today was the first time in awhile that I've been able to do that without freezing my legs off.

 I really like this simple color scheme. Navy and white stripes are my absolute favorite pattern, and I'm glad that they pair well with most other colors. 

Styling tip: When wearing a high-waisted skirt, it's always flattering to accentuate your waist with a belt. In this outfit especially, I would have lost my figure underneath my jacket had I not added the belt! Opt for a thin belt instead of thick for subtlety.

My sunglasses are from Cole Haan. The frames are very thin, making them comfortable to wear all day!
