Emma: Summer in a Sun Hat

Did the sun actually peek out today? 
For once in what seems like a millennium, it did!



Luckily, I very recently bought this wide brim sun hat to accommodate the weather that I have been hoping and hoping for.

I'm not typically the type to be able to pull off a hat. However, this classic one caught my eye, and I just had to go for it! Plus, once you buy a sun hat, the sun is bound to come out eventually, right?

I paired this sheer black top with my white denim for a simplistic look overall. I usually don't like white and black together, but I am absolutely loving this combo!

These. Shoes. 

Tory has outdone herself once again! (Not that I'm surprised.) I'm in love with the color scheme and how they can add a pop of color to virtually any outfit.

Who doesn't love a gorgeous red mani? Especially when it coordinates with your shoes? I'm so glad I decided to go with this fun, vibrant red on my nails. To balance it out, I kept my jewelry simple and wore two of my favorite gold rings.

My hair has become one of my favorite accessories. Recently, I've started to loosely curl it and I'm obsessed!

Emma: Indigo & White

My hair is finally long enough for a top-knot again! That calls for a celebratory blog post!

I decided to keep my outfit simple and chic today. Despite the humid weather, I threw on my long sleeve J.Crew chambray shirt and jacquard flounce skirt. I went with simple taupe wedges to complete the look!

I love the retro vibe that this look gives off, while still being modern! It's such a classic ensemble that will never go out of style.

These earrings complete the look! They are so beautiful and add just the right amount of spunk to this otherwise-simple outfit. I love experimenting with fun statements!

Andie: Bright in Blue

Bright In Blue 

So the past couple of days have been extremely hot and unbearable so when Sunday came and the weather cooled I could finally style this adorable top from Nordstrom with jeans without dying of heat stroke. I love the bright blue color. It can be styled casual or dressed up. Perfect for any summer day! 

My go-to sunglasses are my mirrored blue Rayban aviators. I love purchasing unique sunnies that add a different element to any outfit. I thought these went perfect with this color top. 

Simple detail is my favorite on shirts. This keyhole cut out is adorable and makes this top more interesting. 

Emma and I both got these gorgeous earrings this month in our Rocksbox. They add just a little sparkle to this simple look and I love it.

Emma: Carry On in Style

Carry On in Style!
With four long plane rides just around the corner, I am determined to make the most of my air-travel time this summer! In this post you'll find some cute carry-on bags as well as ideas for what to pack for any plane (or car!) ride. 

Bags
I love to have a medium sized bag as my carry-on. I typically use my large Longchamp, but have recently used a few other bags. Here are some totes that would make excellent carry-ons: 

Shows
If you're like me and have already finished season three of Orange is the New Black, you're probably looking for a new show to binge-watch. And if you have a wifi-enabled plane, this list may just come in handy. Here's what I recommend:

90210
The perfect summer show. It takes place in the city where it's always sunny! (Also, if you're a Gossip Girl fan, it's basically just GG set in California.)

Drop Dead Diva
Who isn't enthralled by some major girl-power? This show is about a ditzy model who dies and is brought back to life in a plus-size lawyer's body. I love this show because it sends the message that all women are beautiful, and that intelligence is power!

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
This is one of those shows that can just boost your mood instantly! It's light-hearted and hilarious.

Snacks
Long days of travel can lead to long days of tired, hungry, grumpy family members. I attempt to combat this by being prepared with snacks! A few of my favorite snacks to bring to the airport (and that are allowed through security) are:

Kind Bars

I love these bars because they aren't packed with anything artificial and are absolutely delicious. They also provide a kick of energy to beat any slump! My favorite flavor of the moment is the Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate Protein bar. So yummy!

There are no words to describe my love for this popcorn. I got hooked on it about a year ago and ever since, my life has never been the same... 
Really, though. It's good stuff.

Edamame & Lentil Chips

I've never really been the type to eat a handful of chips straight from the bag. That was, of course, until I found this deliciousness! If you're looking to cut down on sugary snacks but you're not sure where to start, look no further! These can satisfy any craving for crunch and are healthy, too. (Disclaimer: I'm not exactly sure if you can bring these on an airplane but they're yummy either way:))

Reading Material

Read. There is nothing better than being so engulfed in a book that you forget that you're even stuck on a boring plane! Recently, I've gotten back into reading and it has really changed my life! A few from my favorite author, Jodi Picoult, are:

All Navy 

Today I was in the mood for some good old navy. It has been raining a lot lately and I've felt like wearing darker colors to corrospond with the weather( sad face). I love this simple yet striking pattern on this shirt. I decided to pair it with some loose fitting shorts from J.crew.
