Emma: Summer Flow

 Summer heat + long pants = terrible idea? Usually, this would be true. However, I decided to put these flowy pants to the test to see if that was always the case! (pssst... the answer is no!)

These printed pants are the perfect summer staple. The print is adorable, and they're airy enough that you won't drown in the crazy heat. 

I purchased these at T.J. Maxx for only $20! I was completely drawn-in by the unique print and soft fabric. They're perfect for any summer evening.

I chose gold-toned jewelry for this outfit to complement the purple in the pants. I kept it fairly simple with my go-to thick gold ring, mini cuff, and gold bar name necklace.

I recently purchased these white denim cut-offs from the Nordstrom sale. I love the fit and the length of them. They are perfect for a hot summer day. Personally I think white shorts are a closet must-have. They go with so many different things and are easy to just throw on and walk out the door. Hope you enjoy!

Emma: Lunch Date

Excuse my long hiatus--I have been on vacation and at camp for the past 5 weeks and have had to take a break from blogging. I am so excited to be back in blogger mode however! I went out for lunch this afternoon with a friend and had her snap a few photos! (Thanks SJ!)

 I love how these three colors complement each other. 

This bar necklace was a Christmas gift from Andie. It looks so delicate and beautiful against the striking red!

Emma: California Highlights

I've been vacationing in Southern California for as long as I can remember, and I try new things every time I come. Here are some of the highlights from my trip this summer! (All photos have been filtered using VSCO)

 This trip could not have been complete without a trip to Sprinkles Cupcakes.

I paid visits to three beautiful colleges: Pomona, University of San Diego, and University of California San Diego. These photos are both from USD—my favorite of the three schools.

The trip also couldn't have been complete without a trip to Disneyland. If you think I'm too old to be a die-hard Disney fan then, well... you're wrong.

My family drove down to Balboa Island and rented a Duffy Boat for my sister's birthday. This excursion became a new family favorite!

With all of the paddle-boarding hype recently, I just had to try it out for myself. The result? Let's just say I've deemed that it's a lot trendier than it is easy:)

After my vacation and summer-camp, I'm excited to get back into the swing of things with blogging! I hope you'll look forward to many more posts in the near future!
